Duke is the VP of Child Welfare Strategy and joined Binti to continue his life’s work to ensure every child and adult lives in dignity and thrives. He has 25 years of experience leading human, nutrition, and workforce services across all sectors including state and federal government, national and local not-for-profit organizations, academia, and government technology companies.
As Commissioner of the Virginia Department of Social Services, Duke led transformations across human services including child welfare, focusing on promoting equity, putting families at the center of policy and practice, expanding prevention services, and embracing human centered design by lifting the voices and perspectives of individuals with lived experience into policy development, service delivery practice, and IT systems development.
Duke lives in Fredericksburg, VA with his wife Barbara and 5 children. In his free time, Duke enjoys playing sports with his family, cooking, and volunteering.
