Sen Lu

Sen is a software developer, designer and artist passionate about leveraging technology for self-determination. They started their career as a mobile developer at Braze, worked as a user experience designer at an early stage video conferencing startup, and are now diving into full-stack engineering at Binti.

Outside of industry, Sen conducted research on building sustainable technologies with disadvantaged communities before serving as Director of Technology at AsylumConnect, a nonprofit helping LGBTQ asylum seekers find safe resources in the U.S. Today, they organize queer and trans Asian and Pacific Islander community with APIENC, unearth creative inspiration and history with the Queer Ancestors Project, and heavily prioritize sleeping.

Sen holds bachelors degrees in Biology and Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania and is excited to be back home in California, after eight years in Philadelphia and New York City.
