Vanessa is an Enterprise Account Executive at Binti, focused on our mission of reinventing child welfare with technology.
Prior to her career in sales, Vanessa was entrenched in the world of foster care and adoption. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences. She went on to complete her Master’s degree in Counseling with a focus in Play Therapy. Upon the completion of her higher education, Vanessa worked as a Therapist at the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, providing healing services to children (and their non-offending family members) who were sexually abused, severely physically abused, or who had witnessed a violent crime. Vanessa then moved on to Beta Foster Care in Orange County, CA working as a Clinical Social Worker, providing in-home case management and support services for foster and adoptive families. Finally, Vanessa headed back home to Texas to work at Refuge House as a Foster Family Recruiter and Home Study Specialist.
Thrilled to find this career path that combines her passion for child welfare with the administrative efficiencies afforded by technology, Vanessa feels it is her privilege to spread the message about Binti so more children may be placed with safe and loving families.
When Vanessa is not in work mode, she is in full-blown mommy mode, chasing after her two little boys and loving every minute of it! Vanessa also loves to travel with her husband, she loves to cook and she is a sushi aficionado!
