Binti is committed to respecting your privacy and maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and security of any personal information disclosed.

This Privacy Policy explains how we protect, collect, and use personal information provided through our website binti.com (the “Site”) and any software provided on or in connection with Binti services (collectively, the “Service“), and your choices about the collection and use of your information.

Personal Information” for purposes of this Policy means information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a first and last name, email address, a home, postal or other physical address, other contact information, title, birth date, gender, occupation, industry, personal interests, other information when needed to provide a service you requested.

Attorney” means the attorney you’ve retained to provide you with legal advice about the adoption process.

Agency” means the agency you are working with, if any, to provide you with some or all of the services you require to complete the adoption process.

Payment Gateway Service Provider” means Stripe, a processing payments company.

By using Binti, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. General

Binti is the software development company who created and supports the Binti Services. The purpose of the Binti Service is to help prospective parents navigate the adoption process. If you choose to use the Binti Service, you consent to Binti sharing your Personal Information with your adoption Agency or Attorney as needed, for the purposes of completing the adoption process. If you do not want Binti to share your Personal Information with your adoption Agency or Attorney, please do not use the Binti Service.

Binti uses industry-standard SSL-encryption technologies to safeguard your information.

2. Personal Information

Binti will have access to Personal Information provided by you as part of using the Site. This information may include names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, and other personal information. Your Personal Information will be used for servicing your requirements as expressed by you and solely as part of using Binti.

During the registration process for creating a new account, your Agency or Attorney may request Personal Information. You are responsible for sharing this information. Binti is in no way responsible or liable for communications between you and any third parties, including but not limited to your Agency or Attorney.

Upon registration, you will receive an email with your username and password, as well as a link to reset your password. You are responsible for resetting your password at this time.

Binti will not  share personal information with third parties for promotional purposes or utilize it for any purposes without your express consent. Binti does not view any personal information unless directed by you.

3. Contents of your User Account

In order to prevent loss of data due to errors or system failures, Binti keeps backup copies of data, including the contents of your user account. Your files and data may remain on Binti servers even after deletion or termination of your user account. The contents of your user account will not be disclosed to anyone, outside of the reasons described in Section 1 or Section 2 above. Binti does not access the contents of your user account for any reason other than to troubleshoot a technical problem as directed by you.

4. Financial Information

In case of services requiring payment, requested credit card or other payment account information will be used solely for processing payments. Financial information is not stored except for the name and address of the cardholder. Subject to your prior consent and where necessary for processing future payments, your financial information will be stored in encrypted form on secure servers by our reputed Payment Gateway Service Provider.

5. Personal Health Information (PHI)

Binti is a software company that helps prospective adoptive parents navigate the adoption process. The adoption process can require the disclosure of sensitive health information. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulates the way companies use personal health information (PHI). Binti uses personal information strictly to assist in the adoption process. Binti has implemented the highest standard of security systems and procedures in place to ensure your sensitive information is protected.

6. Usage and Visitor Details

Your usage details such as time, frequency, duration, pattern of use, and features used may be recorded to enhance your experience on the Site. Binti may use the IP address, browser type, browser language, referring URL, files accessed, errors generated, time zone, operating system and other visitor details collected in our log files to analyze trends, administer the website, and track visitors’ movements for the purposes of improving the Site. Binti will not share this information with anyone.

7. Cookies

Some parts of the Site uses cookies to understand user traffic patterns. The only Personal Information a cookie can contain is information you supply. We do this in order to determine the usefulness of our website information and to see how effective our navigational structure is in helping users reach that information.

Binti may from time to time employ cookie services of a third party agent to analyze statistical and aggregate data about our website content and user base. This aggregated information is not personally identifiable and is employed in improving website functionality and offerings. Third party cookies are not tied to your Personal Information, and Binti does not have access to these cookies nor is Binti responsible for them.

Binti uses the Google AdWords remarketing service to advertise on third party websites (including Google) to previous visitors to our site. It could mean that we advertise to previous visitors who haven’t completed a task on our site, for example using the contact form to make an inquiry. This could be in the form of an advertisement on the Google search results page, or a site in the Google Display Network. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to the Binti website. Any data collected will be used in accordance with our own Privacy Policy.

You can set preferences for how Google advertises to you using the Google Ad Preferences page, and if you want to you can opt out of interest-based advertising entirely by cookie settings or permanently using a browser plugin.

8. Children and Privacy

Binti does not target and is not intended to attract children under the age of 18. Binti does not knowingly solicit personal information from children under the age of 18 or send them requests for personal information.

9. Links to Third Party Sites

Some pages of our website contain links to other sites. Binti is not responsible for how you provide information to or interact with other third-party websites or services.

10. With Whom We Share Information

Binti will not disclose your Personal Information to affiliates, service providers or business partners without your express consent, outside of the reasons described in Section 1 and 2 above.

Bint may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any Personal Information regarding visitors and users with our business partners.

Binti will disclose your personal information for the following reasons: (1) to an Agency or Attorney who is using the Binti Service as your representative, as described in Section 1; (2) to relevant governmental agencies if required to do so by law; (3) to enforce our Terms of Use; (4) in urgent circumstances to protect personal or public safety; and (5) to protect the Binti Services.

11. Data Security

Your Binti account information is password-protected for your privacy and security. Binti safeguards the security of the data you send us with physical, electronic, and managerial procedures. In certain areas of our website, Binti uses industry-standard SSL-encryption to enhance the security of data transmissions. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure the security of the information you transmit to us, and so we urge you to take every precaution to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet.

Access to your name and email address is restricted to a subset of Binti employees in connection with providing the Binti Service to you. These employees are bound by confidentiality obligations to protect this Personal Information.

12. Your Ability to Review and Delete Your Account and Information

Users may correct, update or remove Personal Information either by accessing their user account or by contacting your Agency or Attorney representative directly. Such changes take effect immediately. You may also request deletion of your Binti account or any of your Personal Information by sending an email to contact@binti.com.

13. Investigation of Illegal Activity

Binti may need to provide access to your Personal Information and the contents of your user account to employees and service providers for the purpose of investigating any suspected illegal activity or potential violation of the Binti Terms of Service or the Binti Privacy Policy.

14. Enforcement of Privacy Policy

Binti will make periodic reviews to ensure Personal Information provided by you is used in conformity with this Privacy Policy. If you have any concerns regarding our adherence to this Privacy Policy or the manner in which Personal Information is used for the purpose of providing the Services, please contact Binti via contact@binti.com.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

Binti will amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes to the Privacy Policy will be posted on the Binti website in order to keep you informed of any changes in nature of information collected, manner of collection, use and sharing of information. If we make any substantial changes in the way we use your personal information, we will notify you by email and provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses. You will not receive email notifications of minor changes to the Privacy Policy Statement.
