Felicia Curcuru is the CEO of Binti. Felicia’s biggest passion is improving equality of opportunity. Through her sister’s experience adopting two children and her own experience volunteering with foster youth, she was exposed to the child welfare system. She was saddened to learn 50% of youth in foster care will be homeless at some point in their life, 50% will have experience with the criminal justice system by the time they are 17, and the majority of sexually trafficked youth in the US are current or former foster youth. This was deeply upsetting and makes it clear that having a stable family is foundational to having a fair chance at life. She wanted to get involved and started Binti with the goal of helping every child have a family and a fair chance at life.
Binti now works in over 200 agencies in 31 states serving over 24% of child welfare in the US. Prior to starting Binti, Felicia worked at McKinsey & Company, where she consulted with large government agencies and Fortune 500 companies in the US and internationally on projects improving their operations and doing change management. She then worked at FundersClub, an online venture capital firm, joining as their first employee and helping build the company from the ground up, as well as making over 100 seed investments in technology companies. Felicia is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Felicia has a passion for supporting diversity in tech and has supported 1,000+ women founders to get advice on raising a seed round to start a company through her work with All Raise.
