Kaoru is a wedding photographer with a political science degree turned DevOps Engineer. He found his passion for building software by realizing how much enjoyment he got from playing city-building simulation games. Over the last several years, Kaoru has focused on working with scalable distributed systems, helping teams accelerate their productivity, and working with companies to make the world a better place.
Although Kaoru grew up in Hawaii and misses it dearly, he is very much a fan of winter. You may typically find him spending time with his family, eating sushi, and attempting to snowboard.
