Olivia has passion for the well-being of children and their families that began during a year of service in a Detroit classroom when she learned many of her students were impacted by the child welfare system in some capacity. With school being only a small portion of these children’s lives, she realized in order to make an impact she had to be involved in the system that shaped their whole world. She began her career at a foster care agency in the South Bronx where she spent two years diligently advocating for the needs of the children on her caseload. Before Binti, she held roles in the tech industry using technology to help streamline systems. She always envisioned herself returning to her original passion and is excited to be part of the Binti team reinventing the child welfare system with groundbreaking software.
Olivia grew up figure skating, reaching the international level of competition in synchronized skating. She continues to share her love of the sport by coaching young girls and teens at a nonprofit in Harlem. Outside of work, you’ll likely find Olivia exploring new restaurants in NYC with friends, helping her dad build furniture from reclaimed wood and staying active by attending workout classes.
