Carmela is the Director of Government Affairs, leading Binti’s public policy and lobbying efforts. In this role she is responsible for developing and leading public affairs strategy, advancing Binti’s reputation with policymakers around the world. Prior to joining the company, she held similar roles at Stripe, Salesforce and HP. She started her career with Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi’s office, holding positions in Washington, D.C. and San Francisco. Carmela joined Binti because she is a former foster youth and wants to make a positive impact on the kids and social workers who are part of the child welfare system.
When Carmela isn’t advocating for foster youth, she’s likely cooking a fantastic meal, shuttling her kids to their next activity, or training for a half marathon.
