Melissa Leigh Gore comes to Binti with ten years of software engineering experience. Previously she led defensive security engineering at progressive fundraising platform ActBlue, following roles at a development consultancy working with clients in the healthcare space, as a code bootcamp instructor, and in academic publishing software.
A mission-driven engineer, Melissa is happiest when feeling an emotional connection and values alignment with her work. She’s honored to join Binti in their mission to improve child welfare.
Beyond her work, Melissa’s first love is poetry. She continues to both read widely as well as produce creative work of her own. She is also a committed reproductive justice advocate, a weightlifter, and a very-amateur home DIY-er and woodworker. She lives in New Hampshire with her family in a town dotted with apple orchards and slightly-menacing flocks of wild turkeys.
